SMS Consent & Opt-In

Hunt-Sync uses SMS text messages for critical safety alerts and account notifications. This page explains how consent is collected and how the program works.

What Is This SMS Program?

Hunt-Sync's SMS program is limited to emergency contact notifications only. When a Hunt-Sync user designates you as their emergency contact, you may receive SMS alerts if that user triggers an emergency, misses a scheduled safety check-in, or is otherwise unresponsive in the field.

Messages may include critical safety alerts and account notifications related to hunter activity and emergency events. No promotional or marketing messages will ever be sent through this program.

How Opt-In Works

Consent is collected via a combination of web-based disclosure and SMS confirmation.

By opting in, you agree to receive SMS messages from Hunt-Sync related to critical safety alerts and account notifications. Message frequency varies based on user activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance. Mobile information and SMS consent are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

  1. 1A Hunt-Sync user adds your phone number as their emergency contact inside the app.
  2. 2You receive an SMS informing you that you have been added as an emergency contact and requesting your consent to receive messages.
  3. 3You are asked to reply YES to opt in to receive emergency alerts related to that user.
  4. 4If you reply YES, you will receive a confirmation message and will only be contacted if a safety alert or emergency occurs.
  5. 5If you do not reply YES or reply STOP, you will not receive any further SMS messages.

Help Message

Opt-Out Message

Hunt-Sync: You have been unsubscribed and will no longer receive messages. Reply START to re-subscribe or HELP for assistance.
